Thick and creamy smoothie that is almost too indulgent to be healthy. Layered with chocolate and peanut butter and just the right amount of sweetness - just like our favorite candy bar: Snickers!
This recipe was born when I was having the strongest chocolate & peanut butter craving (as we all do at some point in the day-right?). I am a strong believer that diet food does not have to be boring or not absolutely indulgent.
I had seen some recipes with cottage cheese in a smoothie and I was extremely hesitant but wanted to try because it could definitely add some richness to the smoothie. My hesitation was not warranted because the end product was delicious. If you are still hesitant you can absolutely omit it, it's not a problem!
I have made this smoothie with a without cottage cheese, but with cottage cheese it brings out the chocolate more and makes the smoothie unbelievably thick and creamy like a milkshake. Word to the wise though, don't skimp on your ice cubes it'll make the smoothie nice and cold and make it really taste like it has scoops and scoops of ice cream in it.
