Middle Eastern flavors meet Southeast Asian spices to make this delightful and flavorful turkey meatball. So much flavor is packed in here and its so light and easy to mix and match with any dish! We had it with our lentil curry and naan.

I went about combining these different flavors by taking the fresh herbs from a a more traditional kofta recipe and mixed it the dried spices from a garam masala blend. The end result? A truly remarkable fusion that tastes like anything but "diet food"
I find ground turkey to be such a wonderful vessel for any flavor or cuisine. Like chicken it has a more "plain" taste but this shouldn't discourage you from using it! Healthy IS delicious and the more "plain" the more you can expand on it. Turkey is also so high in protein while being low in fat so you can definitely eat more of it to increase your protein intake, if that's what your goal is, without worrying about your fat or caloric intake.
This recipe is very impressive when served on the skewers and the hard sear is important as it helps further develop flavor. Before you start cooking make sure your skewers fit in the pan you are using (I speak from experience here!). A cast iron is truly the best for this and we used a cast iron grill pan. If you don't have one, don't fret you can easily sear these in any pan, just make sure to let it get really hot, and then insert the skewers afterwards (no one will know!).
I'm going to let the recipe do the rest of the talking here, please enjoy and comment below!
